Am I an employee of Guerrero Mobile Mechanics?
No. All mechanics operate as independent contractors. AutoCrew™ provides platform access only and does not create an employment relationship.
Is this a W-2 or 1099 position?
All mechanics operate as 1099 independent contractors. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
Does AutoCrew guarantee jobs or income?
No. AutoCrew does not guarantee jobs, hours, earnings, or income. Job availability depends on location, demand, availability, and performance.
Can I work for other companies or customers?
Yes. There is no exclusivity requirement. You may operate your own business and work with other platforms.
What do I need to qualify?
At minimum:
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle suitable for mobile work
- Your own professional tools
- Active vehicle insurance
- General liability insurance
- Relevant experience or certifications
Additional documentation may be required during onboarding.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. All contractors must maintain:
- Vehicle insurance
- General liability insurance
Failure to maintain coverage may result in suspension of platform access.
Do you perform background checks?
Yes. Background checks may be conducted to protect customers, technicians, and the platform.
Do I choose my own schedule?
Yes. You decide when you’re available and which jobs you accept.
Am I required to accept jobs?
No. You are free to accept or decline any assignment. Repeated declines may affect priority but carry no penalties.
Are there late-night or after-hours jobs?
Some service requests may occur in the evening. For safety reasons, late-night requests may be limited or reassigned based on location and conditions.
How do mechanics get paid?
Payment is per job and may include:
- Hourly labor
- Mileage reimbursement
- Performance bonuses
- Weekend rate adjustments
This is not wages and does not include benefits.
When do I get paid?
Payments are typically issued within 1–2 business days after job completion, once hours and job details are submitted and approved.
Do you take a percentage of my pay?
No percentage is taken from your labor pay. Contractors pay a monthly AutoCrew™ membership fee for platform access.
What is the AutoCrew membership fee?
Membership starts as low as $39/month and provides access to dispatch, scheduling, payment handling, and platform tools.
Is the membership fee refundable?
No. Membership fees are non-refundable once billed.
Do you provide tools or a vehicle?
No. Contractors must provide their own tools, vehicle, fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
Is mileage reimbursed?
Yes. Mileage are reimbursed on dispatched jobs based on distance and job approval.
Can my access be suspended?
Yes. Access may be suspended or revoked for:
- Insurance lapses
- Safety concerns
- Customer complaints
- Misrepresentation
- Policy violations
Can I be removed without notice?
Yes. AutoCrew access may be suspended immediately in cases of serious violations or safety risks.
What happens if a customer disputes a job?
Disputes are handled by the platform. Contractors must cooperate with documentation and communication requirements.
What happens after I apply?

How long does approval take?
Approval timelines vary by location and demand. Not all applicants are approved.
Is there a limit to how many mechanics you accept?
